Two bodies are being recovered from the water after Whitstable lifeboat was launched to help search for two men missing at sea.

The men went missing at about 10pm on Sunday after making their way out to a yacht in Queenborough harbour.

A search by Sheppey Coastguard, Sheerness lifeboat, Kent Police and the RAF search and rescue helicopter from Wattisham failed to find the men, from Queenborough.

Whitstable lifeboat was launched to join in on Tuesday morning.

Later in the day police confirmed two bodies had been found in the water off the Sheppey town.
