A man's body has been recovered from a Kent railway line.

British Transport Police were called to the line at Buckland junction, below Bunkers Hill, near Dover just after 10pm Wednesday.

Power was switched off and the body was recovered. It had been hit by a train.

Rail services to Dover were disrupted for more than four hours while investigations took place.
