A WOMAN whose body was recovered from the River Medway on November 22 has been formally identified.

She was Joan Crick, from Ann Figg Court, Rochester, who was aged 91. An inquest has been formally opened and adjourned.

Officers had been called to The Esplanade at Rochester after the woman was spotted climbing through railings. The pensioner’s body was recovered from the river a short time later.

Police say her death is not being treated as suspicious.
