THE BODY of a 75-year-old man from Maidstone was discovered under a bridge at Spot Lane, in Bearsted last night.

Officers from Maidstone and Malling police were assisted by Maidstone firefighters to recover the body at 11pm

Details about how he died have not been released but police have confirmed that they are not treating the incident as suspicious
