KENT lost 154-124 to Surrey in the final of the Home Counties League on Saturday.
With eight rinks in play, Kent lost five, won two and drew one at the neutral venue at Loddon Vale in Basingstoke.
Surrey were in front from the start and only on two occasions Kent did pull it back to a single figure lead, only to see their opponents pull away again.
Kent’s two winning rinks were skipped by Dave Banfield and county president Chris Smith.
There was better news on Sunday, with Kent having qualified for the semi-final stage in the pairs with S Dann & W Crittle from Tunbridge Wells, in the triples with P Barrett, M Johnson and P Barnicott from Swale and the rinks with K Moss, C Fox, B Drake & T Coker from Margate.
Both the pairs and triples won the morning semi-finals but the rinks lost 20-10 to Hertfordshire.
In the finals Dann and Crittle lost 19-16 but Barrett, Johnson and Barnicott easily won the triples final 26-6.
