A 12-year-old boy has been rescued from rocks near Broadstairs early today.

The boy, who has a mental age of five, went missing from his carer's home in Percy Avenue, Broadstairs, at 7.30pm Sunday.

He was found by coastguards on rocks at Kingsgate Bay just after 1.30am today and was treated at the QEQM hospital in Margate for a minor cut to his head.
