TWO schoolgirls were allegedly lured off a bus, robbed of their mobiles and raped by three boys on a winter night in park, a court has been told.
The 16-year-olds, who are best friends, were allegedly subjected to string of sex attacks in Downham playing fields by a 13-year-old and two 14-year-olds.
One of the girls is said to have remembered one boy holding a mobile during the ordeal and that it was bleeping as if recording a video.
A 14-year-old from Eltham, his 13-year-old cousin from Catford, and a 14-year-old from Catford, all of who cannot be named for legal reasons, between them deny 12 charges.
At Inner London Crown Courts, the recorder, Mr David Spens QC, heard how the girls, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, were attacked on November 23 last year.
Prosecutor Ed Lucas said: “The boys committed terrible sexual violence against these young girls. They were sexually assaulted and humiliated.”
The girls met in Bromley from where they caught the number 261 to Lewisham. They sat near the back of the top deck and were joined by the defendants and a fourth boy, said to have played no part in the attacks.
The boys started chatting up the girls but the conversation quickly turned to a sexual nature, Mr Lucas said. They left the bus shortly after 7pm near Grove Park bus station.
The court was told how the girls were followed and pestered for sex. One of the girls later told police officers she thought she heard the mention of a knife.
Mr Lucas said: “They were told, 'If you go to the police, we will rape you.’”
The 13-year-old denies two counts of rape, assault by penetration, and two counts of robbery.
One of the 14- year-olds denies two counts of rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault by touching and two counts of robbery. The other 14-year-old denies two counts of rape, attempted rape and two counts of robbery.
The trial continues.
