THE World Superbike Championship will roar into Brands Hatch this weekend.

Kawasaki rider Chris Walker will be looking to pick up his first podium finish of the year and is relishing the prospect of racing in front of his home crowd.

The 2004 champion James Toseland currently lies third in this year’s series and will be hoping to pick up a victory to close in on leader Troy Bayliss.

Toseland has already secured one victory this season and is just a single point behind the second-placed Japanese rider Noriyuki Haga.

Free practice takes place from 10.30am on Friday, with qualifying from 11am on Saturday. On Sunday race one is at noon and race two at 3.30pm.

Tickets are available to purchase at the gate, with race day adult price £45, and child tickets £25 (13-15-year- olds) and £15 (12 and under).

Tickets are also available by calling 0870 950 9000.
