A brave Medway youngster is back at school after winning a three-year fight with leukaemia.
Keller Williams, a pupil at Allhallows Primary, had not been well enough to attend classes for the past 18 months.
His life has revolved around travelling to and from London from his home in Avery Way, Allhallows, for gruelling but life-saving treatment, including radiotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
Keller was given the all-clear from the disease last month.
A party was held on the school playing field on Saturday to celebrate his recovery and to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.
His parents have made it their mission to raise money for the hospitals which helped save his life.
Proud dad Ricki said: “Keller is a remarkable young boy who has never moaned about his problems and always thinks of others first.
“When he was recovering all he could talk about was planning the party and how he could raise money for the hospitals.
“He is delighted to be back in class and doesn’t want to come home every night and is taking part in every after school club they have going.”
An estimated £2,800 was raised at the weekend with the total expected to go over £3,000 as more donations come in.
