The body of a man is believed to have been recovered from mud-flats at Cliffs End, near Ramsgate at 5pm today (Wednesday).
Emergency services, including coastguards and a helicopter, were involved in the operation.
Details are unclear, but it is thought that the man may have been a fisherman digging for bait.
