VOLVO'S C70 Convertible is to get a makeover.

Since its arrival in the UK in 1999, sales have gone from strength to strength.

Due to the increase in demand worldwide for the convertible, production of the Volvo C70 Coupe has, after six years, come to an end.

As part of its 2003 makeover, the convertible has been given revised front and rear lights as well as a new black egg-crate grille. Sixteen-inch alloy wheels and a wind deflector are now fitted as standard.

Specification for the GT derivatives includes a computerised information system, leather steering wheel, as well as the surround sound stereo system which comprises a three CD changer and nine speakers and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Vehicles are equipped with the latest safety features including ROPS (Rollover Protection System), WHIPS (anti whiplash) seats, dual stage airbags and a rigid safety cage.

Volvo has increased the power of the 2.4T from 193bhp to 200bhp and the T5 GT from 240 to 2,45bhp. Each car receives a three year/60,000 mile warranty with one year's RAC roadside assistance, three-year paint warranty and eight years' anti-perforation warranty.

Wind in the hair Volvo motoring is affordable at less than £25,000. On-the-road prices for the range start from £24,860 for the 2.0T, rising to £29,960 for the T5 GT.
