IF YOU live in Bromley then you may be among the healthiest, wealthiest and smartest people in the UK.

In a survey of the UK’s counties and boroughs by the Halifax building society, residents in Bromley were found to have the fourth highest quality of life out of the 397 local authorities that took part.

The survey took into account factors including employment, earnings, weather, crime, education and health.

Areas throughout London and the south east dominated the final list and made up eight of the top 10.

The neighbouring borough of Bexley finished in 20th position.

The county of Kent finished 25th in the first Halifax Quality of Life Survey for Counties.
