Bus stolen from care centre is found

POLICE have recovered a mini bus that had been stolen from a cerebral palsy care centre at Cliffe Woods, near Rochester.

It was found following a media appeal. A member of the public contacted the police to say he had seen the vehicle in Heath Road, Langley.

The £30,000 bus, specially adapted for people in electric wheelchairs, is used to pick up people who attend the centre for a range of activities, including art classes, woodwork, craft work and general socialising.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle being parked in Heath Road, or saw it in the Maidstone area prior to it being found. You can contact Det Con Taft at Medway Police on 01634 792529.
