A bus company has announced a number of tickets will increase in price from this weekend.
Arriva will hike the costs of a number of their fares from this Sunday (October 22) across the board.
It will affect passengers using services in Medway, Maidstone, Dartford, Gravesend, and Thameside, as well as Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
A spokeswoman for Arriva said: “We're really sorry that we are increasing fares from October 22.
“We’ve had to make this tough decision due to a rise in inflation and increasing running costs, which none of us will have failed to notice.
“Our customers will see that, on average, day tickets will be going up by around £1 and there are a range of fare changes detailed on our website.
“Though this is not the news our passengers would want to hear, we’re keen to point out that we are still part of the £2 price cap scheme, which still represents value for money for our customers".
Arriva offers 13 different bus tickets for adults, children, duos, families, and students.
Tickets can be purchased in the form of a daily, three-day, weekly, 12-day, four-weekly, or annual pass.
Passengers wishing to buy an adult day ticket to use across Kent and Medway will now have to fork out £9.30 compared to £8.90 previously.
Meanwhile, a weekly fare in the same area will now cost £37.50 – a £2 increase from £35.50.
The company also offers an annual pass for users – a fare which will rise £60 from £1,180 to £1,240 across Kent and Medway.
Adults intending to buy a daily ticket for Maidstone will now have to spend £6.90 compared to £6.60 previously, with a weekly pass rising from £25 to £26.30 and an annual ticket increasing from £850 to £890.
Users in Dartford will also see prices rise – from £5.70 to £6 for a daily ticket, from £21 to £22 for a weekly pass, and from £730 to £770 for an annual ticket.

The hike in fares will come just three days after the operator confirmed it is to be snapped up by US infrastructure investor I Squared.
German owner Deutsche Bahn secured the sale, understood to be worth around 1.6 billion euros (£1.4 billion).
