More than 100 companies have signed up for a workshop in Medway to learn how they can profit from the London 2012 Olympics.
The Fit2Supply workshop, being held at St George's Centre, Chatham, on Wednesday, November, 5 will provide businesses of all sizes with information and advice on how and where to register their interest in the London 2012 supply chains.
It will also be an opportunity for firms to learn more about what is happening in Medway to maximise the benefits of the 2012 Games, including business opportunities presented by the staging of major sporting events and the £11m project to transform the Black Lion Leisure Centre into a Regional Centre of Sporting Excellence.
Medway Council economic development officer Wayne Saunders said: “We have been over overwhelmed by the response to this event. It demonstrates that Medway businesses are ready and eager to rise to the challenge and make the most of the Olympic opportunities, both in London and right here on their doorstep.”
Wednesday’s event is free and is being organised by Business Link Kent with the support of Medway Council.
There is still time for businesses to sign up for the workshop. Places can be booked via the Business Link Kent's events website www.eventskent.co.uk
