TWO have-a-go heroes foiled a mobile phone theft in Rochester High Street.
Eon Internet Café manager David Woodcock and owner Marcus Lacey pounced when three youths grabbed a mobile phone from a customer.
The two wasted no time sprinting down the high street to give chase.
Mr Woodcock, 20, said: "We were really busy in the cafe and a couple of our regulars were having a drink and a chat and had their belongings with them and then a few of youths barged in.
"They quickly grabbed the phone and ran. I went out the front and Marcus went out the back and we chased them down the High Street.
"They ran into Northgate car-park and I couldn't believe they actually had a get-away car waiting for them. They sped off and made their way across the bridge. We managed to get their registration and I had a good description of them.
"The police arrived and did some interviews and we were told over the radio that the car had been stopped and three people had been arrested."
Officers had stopped the car in King Street, Chatham, and recovered a mobile phone.
A police spokesperson said: "The police received a call at 12.54pm. We carried out an area search and arrested three males aged 15, 16 and 17 - all from the London area. They have been bailed pending further enquiries."
