Little Callum Perfect's mum may not want him to play hide and seek again - after firefighters had to free him from his wardrobe.
The three-year-old was at home in Wainscott Road, Strood, playing with his older brother, Brandon, five when he decided the wardrobe was an ideal hiding place.
Unfortunately, Callum took the key out of the lock, clambered into the wardrobe and locked the door behind him.
He got stuck around 8.30pm on Monday and a crew from Strood fire station was called out to free the toddler.
Mum Vicky Parmer, 25, said: "My neighbour Ceri Tattum helped me and we tried to get the door open but couldn't.
"I think Callum was getting a bit frightened as it was dark inside the wardrobe.
"We tried everything to pull the door open - Callum was trapped inside the wardrobe for 10 to 15 minutes before the firefighters could free him, but was able to have a look around the fire engine afterwards.
"Callum was brave while he was in the wardrobe and he was the star of his playschool the next day - they were all talking about it."
Callum goes to Smilers pre-school, at Wainscott Primary School, where another toddler, Oscar Richardson, was also helped out by firefighters.
In May last year, we reported how Oscar squeezed his Thomas the Tank Engine toilet training seat over his head, and found he couldn't get it off again.
Vicky added: "At Smilers the children have a 999 wall to teach them about the emergency services.
"Oscar's story was put up on the wall after he appeared in the paper, perhaps Callum's story can go on the wall too.
"I must thank the firefighters, and it's always nice for mums to see firemen."
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We prised the door and it popped open.
"He was a bit startled when he saw us, but after a quick cuddle from mum he was fine and we then showed him around the fire engine."
