DETECTIVES have released an image of a man they are keen to speak with in connection with a robbery at a building society.

The robbery occurred between 4.55pm and 5pm on Saturday, November 23, at the Nationwide in High Street, Chatham.

A man threatened a cashier and demanded money. He left the bank with several thousands of pounds.

The suspect is described as being a white male, aged between 35 and 40-years-old, around 5ft 10in tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded coat with the hood up and scarf wrapped around his face.

Det Sgt Steve Woollett said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help us identify the man in the image. All calls are treated in the strictest confidence and will be fully investigated."
