More on KentOnline
Canterbury Cathedral has found itself at the top of Kent's attractions, with 903,319 visitors last year.
That figure has put it 38th out of all the UK's attraction, beating the likes of Hampton Court Palace, Titanic Belfast and the Giant's Causeway.
Figures released today by The Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA) show the UK's most popular places of interest, ranked on its member's visitor figures.
The cathedral is also in the top three attraction in the South East region, alongside the National Museum of Royal navy (Portsmouth) and RHS Garden Wisley (Surrey).
Since 2015, it has dropped just four places from 34th to 38th, with visitor numbers falling by 5.6%.
Joining Canterbury Cathedral in the UK's top 100 attractions is Dover Castle, ranked 98th with 333,289 visits last year.
It has dropped nine places since 2015 from 89th, despite visitor number increasing by 0.5%.
On TripAdvisor, however, it's a different picture as Dover Castle takes the top spot, rated number one for things to do in Kent.
Canterbury Cathedral swiftly follows in second place, both holding a Certificate of Excellence on the advice site.
