THE 25-year-old woman critically injured in a car crash in the early hours of this morning has been transferred to a London hospital.

She had to be pulled from the wreckage of her Ford Fiesta after careering in to a ditch and smashing in to a tree in Station Road, Pluckley, near Ashford, just before 1am.

The woman, who has not been named, was rushed to the William Harvey Hospital, but during the morning the decision was taken to transfer her to an unnamed hospital in the capital.
