A motorist lost control of her car which ended up on top of a flower bed in the central reservation on Corporation Street, Rochester.

A woman and her daughter were not injured.

The accident happened at about 12.50pm Tuesday on the Strood-bound carriageway of the A2 just before Rochester Bridge.

The car - a black Chrysler - left the road and crashed into the wall of the central reservation.

Police diverted traffic until a recovery lorry arrived.

Motorists experienced slight delays but the road was cleared shortly after 2pm.
