A car ended up in a ditch on the A28 between Bethersden and High Halden on Sunday after it hit a fox.

According to police, the car hit the fox, which ran off, at about 11.26pm, leaving the 44-year-old driver with an injured knee.

The man was attended by an ambulance crew but did not go to hospital.

The road was not blocked.
