Car lands on roof in traffic lights collision

A DRIVER walked free from his car this morning after it overturned after hitting a set of traffic lights.

A black VW Golf was spotted on its roof on Kentish Way, Bromley, at shortly after 4.30am by a passer-by.

The car had struck the traffic lights outside Bromley's former police station before landing upside down.

By the time the police had arrived the male driver had freed himself from the car.

He is not thought to have suffered any injuries in the crash and the road was cleared by 6.20am.

Police are investigating the incident and looking at CCTV footage from the area.
