POLICE were called to the Stockbury roundabout on the A249 at Stockbury, near Sittingbourne, this morning after a silver Rover car overturned onto its roof.

The male driver of the vehicle was not thought to have been seriously injured. Police say he managed to escape from the vehicle without needing to be cut free.

The incident happened on the Sittingbourne-bound carriageway at about 10.10am and caused traffic hold-ups. A roadsign and a light were damaged in the collision.
