POLICE have arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection with the theft of a car and a road traffic incident in Southborough, near Tunbridge Wells.

The car, a blue Metro, was reported stolen from an address in Orpington. Later police followed the vehicle as it was driven from Tunbridge Wells to Southborough.

They found it abandoned in the middle of the road, outside the Q8 petrol station, at around 2am on Saturday. It had apparently having been involved in a collision.

Police would like to talk to two other people believed to be in the car with the 13-year-old who comes from Orpington. He has been granted police bail until April 24 while further enquiries are carried out.
