A driver has been injured after a car hit the back of a lorry this afternoon.

A black Vauxhall Astra ended up wedged beneath the lorry, which was stationary, on the Chatham-bound carriageway just past Cobtree Manor Park Golf Course at about 12.40pm.

Kent Police said the driver was slightly injured in the crash.

Another car is also believed to have been involved in the smash.

Blue Bell Hill was partially shut while the emergency services were at the scene, leading to long tailbacks.
