Car lovers who like to get their hands dirty will be heading to the Kent Kit Car Show over the Easter weekend.
The gathering of unique motors, built by their owners, will be graced on Easter Sunday by the original Stig from BBC2’s Top Gear, Perry McCarthy.
The racing driver, who tested for the Williams and Benetton F1 teams, wore a black helmet as the first Stig but left after two series.
The show at the Kent Showground at Detling, near Maidstone, will have a display of supercars as well as launches of new kit cars.
More than 35 manufacturers, 50 trade stands, 30 kit car clubs and 400 privately-owned kit cars are expected. Kit car drivers arriving in their own vehicle get free admission and camping is available on site.
There will also be trade stands and the chance to have a go in some of the cars. Live music will round off the entertainment on Saturday night.
The Kent Kit Car Show takes place on Saturday, April 7 and Easter Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Tickets £10, children free. Call 01406 372600 or visit www.detlingkitcarshow.co.uk
