Darren Blackley starts the bank holiday weekend with a delivery of £1,000 thanks to kmfm.

The Faversham-based listener entered the radio station's 'Thousand Pound Friday' competition earlier today.

Out of the thousands who entered, his name was chosen at random.

Presenter Steve Reed made the surprise call on the Drivetime show, and it was then the job of the kmfm Street Team to hand deliver his winning £1,000 prize.

Darren really was not expecting the call, and when Steve asked him what it would mean to win, he revealed he and his fiance are getting married later this year and they will use the money to help complete their big day.

kmfm's Thousand Pound Friday runs on the last Friday of every month.
