POLICE are appealing for information after a cat was injured by a crossbow arrow.

The two-year-old female cat, called Pepper, returned to her owner's home in Ash, near Sandwich, at around 5pm on Thursday with the injury to a back leg.

She was taken to a vet and received treatment to the wound, which was caused by an aluminium arrow.
