Cat shot with air weapon

POLICE are investigating the shooting of a cat with an air weapon in the county.

The animal came from a house in Lower Halstow, near Sittingbourne, and its owners found it to be unwell. When the cat was taken to the vet it was found to have been shot with an air weapon.

It is not clear where the incident took place, but police say it happened some time between 9pm on May 7 and early the following morning.
