Chance to help little ballerinas through exams

BALLET teacher Corinne Barnett is appealing to people in Thanet to help and her young dancers through an exam crisis.

Sheet music used to help instruct the classes have not been returned by a pianist who has left the Northdown School of Dance at Broadstairs. Mrs Barnett said: "It is a disaster for us because we relied on that music for our classes. Most of it is out of print and we cannot replace it.

“We have tried to locate our former pianist but have failed and we now have to start from scratch with new music. This is very difficult for our pupils who take their exams in March.”

Mrs Barnett is appealing for anyone who can sight-read music to help her look through some scores which she may be able to use for her classes. She also needs a pianist to play for the children.”

The classes meet every Monday at St Anne's church hall, Cliftonville, and every Wednesday at Holy Trinity church hall, Broadstairs, on both days from 3.40pm to 6.40pm. If you can help, telephone Mrs Barnett 01843 862083
