Nearly £5,000 was raised for KentOnline's charity of the year at a golf day fundraiser.
The Kent Association for the Blind, which supports people who are sight impaired to live independent lives, held the event last week at Bearsted Golf Club.
A total of £4,825 was raised from the day which saw the winning team get 94 points.
The money will be able to go towards funding activity days for children experiencing sight loss.
The cash could also be used to maintain the charity's Talking News service.
Keen golfer Steve Evans managed to put away a hole in one. His team, which was called 'The Bandits', came in fourth place.
Gary Livermore, who went along to the event, said: "It was a pleasure to be part of a successful charity event. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and the golf course.
"We found the members and staff very welcoming which was a very nice touch. It turned out to be a very memorable day in-particular for Steve Evans who aced the par 3 hole number 8, his and first groups ever hole-in-one. We will certainly be back in the near future."
It is the fifth year where the event has been hosted at the Bearsted Golf Club.
A spokesman for the charity said: "We are so grateful to everyone who made this day such a success and we look forward to welcoming the teams back again next year!"
