Charlie Shreck's loan spell with Kent has ended as quickly as it began.

The Nottinghamshire pace bowler returned to Trent Bridge on Wednesday less than a week after Kent had rushed through a one-month loan deal to enable him to play their opening championship game against Essex.

Notts have now recalled him as bowlers Darren Pattinson (hamstring) and Andy Carter (abdominal strain) are both injured.
Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell confirmed: "We’ve picked up a couple of injuries but Charlie has had a good four days at Kent and he’s ready to go."

Shreck opened the bowling against Essex but failed to take a wicket with figures of 0-49 in the first innings followed by 0-20 in just five overs second time around.
