Yann Kermorgant rescued a point for Charlton in their 1-1 draw with Rochdale at The Valley on Tuesday night.
The Frenchman (pictured) scored with a curling 57th-minute free-kick to cancel out a deflected effort by Rochdale’s Nicky Adams three minutes earlier.
Then, try as they might, the Addicks could not break down a stubborn Rochdale defence, with Kermorgant denied his second goal by a superb save from goalkeeper Peter Kurucz and Michael Morrison blasting over from a narrow angle.
Despite their lowly league position Rochdale kept the Charlton attack on a tight rein in the first half while also creating one or two moments of danger at the other end.
Addicks manager Chris Powell said: "Rochdale settled very well, and a lot of teams are going to play that way against us, where they flood the midfield and defence and try to frustrate us."
