Gillingham Football Club have confirmed that Mark Jones has left his position as chief executive.

Mr Jones was appointed in April 2008 and chairman Mr Paul Scally said at the time it would allow him to "create more time to work on the new stadium and other strategic matters, like external investment and team development.

The club declined to comment further on Mr Jones’ departure.
