A child has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Gillingham.
Emergency services were called to Cornwallis Avenue at about 3.30pm after the youngster was hurt.
The child has been airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
A Medway Police spokesman said: "We were called at 3.30pm to reports of a young child being in collision with a car.
"South East Coast Ambulance Service attended to the child, who was then taken by air ambulance to a London hospital.
"Injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening. Cornwallis Avenue has been closed at junction with Beechings Way while officers deal with the incident."
Neither the child's sex or age are yet known.
It follows another incident revealed today in which a 22-month-old child was also airlifted to hospital after being run over in Herne Bay.
