TWO children were rescued from the sea at Leysdown, near Sheerness, this afternoon after their inflatable dinghy overturned.

Whitstable lifeboat was launched but while travelling there the crew received reports that the children had been pulled from the water by two adults.

When the crew arrived at the scene, they found the children and adults safe on the beach.
