FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a blaze which had broken out in the chimney of a public house.

Crews from Tunbridge Wells and Wadhurst attended the fire at the Brown Trout , Lamberhurst at about 5pm on Tuesday.

It was originally feared the blaze may have spread into the roof, and sections had to be removed, together with chimney pots and internal blanking panels.

This was the second fire in a week in the area, after The Hare at Langton Green, near Tunbridge Wells, also suffered a chimney fire.
