Gillingham have finally secured the signature of Chris Dickson after the Charlton Athletic striker agreed to join for the remainder of the season.
Dickson became a popular figure among Gillingham fans after finishing the 2007/08 season as top scorer with 11 goals during a previous loan spell.
Gills boss Mark Stimson has faced a long battle to get the forward back at Priestfield and finally got his man on Monday morning.
The 25-year-old has struggled to win a permanent place in Charlton’s first team squad since signing from Dulwich Hamlet. He recently spent a loan spell at Bristol Rovers.
Dickson will go straight into Gillingham’s squad for Saturday’s game, ironically against his former Bristol Rovers team-mates.
