TO COINCIDE with the news that BBC's Top Gear magazine has named Citroen's Xsara Picasso the Best Value Car 2003, the company has confirmed details of its latest special offers.
Citroen is continuing its popular cashback deals and expanding the great savings available via its e-promotion Internet campaign for March.
Top Gear short-listed several vehicles from across the car market that offered particularly good value.
It was Citroen's best-selling Xsara Picasso that fended off strong competition from the likes of Ford, Skoda, Vauxhall and Kia, to scoop the award.
Kevin Blick, editor of Britain's best selling car magazine, commented: “A practical interior, sound driving experience and great pricing. It almost makes you want to have kids just to go out and buy one.”
Citroen has also expanded its e-promotion Internet campaign, available via the company's website www.citroen.co.uk. Customers can buy the 120 hp Saxo VTS for £9,995, the same price as the highly economical 90hp Xsara 2.0HDi LX saloon, while the well-equipped, frugal C3 1.4HDi 16V Exclusive is available for £10,495.
These new deals are in addition to the current on-line offers, which see savings of up to £3,500 on selected C5 models.
Throughout March, all Xsara Picasso models come with a £2,000 cashback, as do both the C5 and Citroen's practical, spacious and refined MPV, the new C8.
All Xsara models are offered with £1,300 cashback, as is the Saxo Desire, while all other Saxo, C3 and Berlingo Multispace models come with £1,000 cashback. On top of this, free insurance is available on the C3 Desire and across the Saxo range, while C5 and Xsara buyers can benefit from 0 per cent finance.
