A Kent-based recycling firm is bucking the recession by reporting sales growth of more than 300 per cent and a doubling of staff numbers over the last year.
C&M Waste Management Ltd, newly-located at Smeeth, near Ashford, has increased its workforce from six to 12 and is expecting to create further jobs with planned expansion, which may include takeovers.
About 60 per cent of C & M’s client base is in the south east. The company’s rapid growth has resulted in an additional 25 accounts during the past 12 months.
Managing director Chris Prinn says C&M’s success is positioning the company for further development.
Mr Prinn said: "Our aim at C&M is to deliver a service to our customers which is second to none and to fulfill this we are constantly looking towards increasing our resources to meet the demands of our growing client portfolio.
"Despite nationally and globally difficult trading conditions over the last 12 months, we continue to prove that businesses in certain sectors can indeed flourish. More expansion is planned with the possibility of the acquisition of other companies in the recycling or waste management sector."
C&M’s established business includes recycling and waste management services, cost-effective and environmentally efficient solutions, on-site facility management tailored to clients’ needs and the sourcing of a network of specialist national suppliers.
