As many of us head to the coast during the warm weather, Kent Coastguards are also warning people to be careful when heading out to sea.

It follows the rescue of a man yesterday who collapsed after swallowing large amounts of seawater and suffering dehydration and hyperthermia after swimming off the coast of Camber Sands.

The 49-year-old was taken to the William Harvey Hospital where he was kept overnight but has now been released.
