Gillingham are again facing selection problems ahead of their trip to Bury on Saturday.
Injuries have plagued the Gills’ first month back in League 2 and they do not appear to be getting much better after the midweek injuries to Andy Barcham and Cody McDonald (pictured).
McDonald, who only returned last week after a foot injury, twisted an ankle in the defeat at Southend and Barcham also took a knock. Both are doubtful this weekend.
Alan Julian is likely to remain on the bench as he continues to rest his hand, which he broke in pre-season.
Garry Richards (ankle), Curtis Weston (thigh) and Dennis Oli (hamstring) are all close to returning but may have to wait another week before doing so.
Striker Adebayo Akinfenwa has been having injections to cure a niggling shoulder problem but should play.
Belgian midfielder Stanley Aborah now has his international clearance and begins a new one-month contract this weekend but is still fighting off a thigh injury.
Simon King (ankle) and Dean Rance (foot) remain on the long-term injury list.
The likes of Mark McCammon and Josh Gowling returned to the side on Tuesday at Southend and will be fighting for a first-team shirt at Bury.
