COMEDIAN and writer Chris Langham, who lives in Kent, has been charged with 15 counts of making indecent images of children from the internet.

The 57-year-old, from Cranbrook, near Tunbridge Wells, has made frequent television appearances since 1969 and on Sunday, May 7, won a Bafta award for his latest show, In The Thick Of It.

He was charged by Kent Police on Wednesday evening after answering police bail following a three-month investigation.

He has been bailed to appear before magistrates at Sevenoaks on Wednesday, May 17.
