Company shares credit for sales record

DEALERSHIP Whitehouse Maidstone has been credited with helping to set a new sales record for Chrysler and Jeep in the UK. The operation has been heralded as a contributing factor as Milton Keynes-based Chrysler and Jeep smashed its previous best year set in 1997 by selling more than 18,830 new cars in 2001.

Of those sold, almost 12,000 were Chryslers and nearly 7,000 were Jeep cars. Simon Elliott, managing director of Chrysler and Jeep in the UK, said: "Last year was great for us, setting the new sales record is a credit to Whitehouse Maidstone and the rest of the dealer network across the UK. The future certainly looks bright for Chrysler and Jeep in the UK."
