READERS of Kent Online are demanding compensation for the widespread disruption caused in Kent by the SeaFrance industrial dispute and Operation Stack.
Here's a selection of comments from our SpeakOut:
Jo Humphrey from Maidstone asks: "Why is the Government not putting pressure on France? - Kent should be compensated for every penny we lose."
Rainham's Andrew Miller wants to know why the EU is "unable to fine France for all the disruption caused and pay the money directly to KCC?"
Andy Zerfahs, from Ashford, says: "Why should the Kent taxpayer fork out for another country's problems? Foreign lorry drivers need to pay a tax for using our roads. They are nothing but trouble."
Gary Turley, from Ashford, says: "This whole situation needs an urgent review and Government pressure on the French."
Simon Colling, Maidstone: "Surely SeaFrance must be forced to pay the English compensation, and not have Kent taxpayers funding it."

Kev Vallance, Herne Bay: "The knock on effect is severe congestion on the A2/M2 as drivers try alternate routes, this effects the whole of Kent for the sake of a truck parking facility."
Stefan Scudder, Canterbury: "Why, why, why is it like this! each time the French go on strike we in Kent are the one’s that suffer and foot the bill?"
David Parry, Rainham,"Goods come to Britain from all over Europe, not just France, and British manufacturing companies need European goods to keep their production lines going.
"Get a Lorry Park built urgently, that will help reduce the disruption next time round!"
