AN ELDERLY man who has gone missing from a Ramsgate care home has not been taking his heart and blood pressure medication and his carers and the police are growing more and more concerned for him.
Charles Whiteman, 85, was last seen at the Royal Road home when he went to bed on the evening of Wednesday, November 3. The next morning he was missing.
Mr Whiteman is about 5ft 9in and has wavy grey collar-length hair. He was last seen wearing grey trousers, a white shirt and a blue sleeveless jumper. He is also thought to have brown shoes and a waist-length grey jacket.
He likes to ride on the buses and may also be visiting local bed and breakfast accommodation to try and find a room for the night.
Inspector Ken Elmes of Thanet Police said: “We are concerned for Mr Whiteman as he hasn’t taken his heart and blood pressure medication so by now may be feeling rather unwell. Staff at his home are worried about him and urge him to get in contact.”
Police have so far failed to find Mr Whiteman. Anyone who has seen Mr Whiteman is asked to call Thanet Police on 01843 222102.
