Hundreds of livestock, trees, plants and tents
moved onto the Kent showground at Detling today, in
preparation for the three-day Kent County Show, which begins
tomorrow.
The annual show, organised by the Kent Agricultural Society,
attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year to see the best of
the county’s farming, agriculture and horticulture.
Last year, 85,000 people went along to see the
exhibits, arena events and enjoy the funfair.
Among the highlights this year will be a mini orchard at the
entrance to the Farming Matters area, which has involved planting
25 young apple trees fro Loddington Farm in Linton, Maidstone,
specially.
For tickets and information, visit www.kentshowground.co.uk or
buy them on the gate.

Messenger.
