A man and woman in their 20s were severely injured in a crash near Dartford last night.

The incident in Scratchers Lane involved the Ford Focus they were travelling in and a Toyota.

The man suffered life threatening head injuries and was taken to Kings College Hospital in London for treatment.

The woman suffered multiple injuries.

Fire crews had to cut the pair free from the wreckage removing the doors and roof to get to them.

The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries.

Police are investigating the crash.
