Couple sought after peg tiles theft

ABOUT 200 Kent peg tiles valued at £500 have been stolen from the roof of a disused hospital.

The theft, from the former Ramsgate Hospital in the town’s Westcliff Road, is believed to have taken place between August 21 and 26.

Police want to interview a man and a woman seen on the site between these dates. The woman was about 5ft 4in tall, stocky, with dark hair tied back, and wore a white blouse and jeans. The man was of ‘wiry’ build, had short black hair and stubble and wore a white shirt and jeans. They drove a white van.

Anyone with information is asked to telephone the crime desk at Thanet Police Station at Margate on 01843 222033.
